CAMPS
Every third blind person in the world is an Indian and
almost 80% of this blindness is due to cataract. Majority of our poor
patients affected by cataract are unaware of their disease and the fact
that they can be permanently cured by a simple surgical procedure. If
left untreated, an advanced mature cataract can prove disastrous and
can lead to permanently blindness implantation.
In the last 15 years NETHRA JYOTHI TRUST has conducted numerous eye
camps and school health camps through its hospitals at Coimbatore and
Tirupur. Many economically deprived people have been restored vision
through our eye camps largely conducted with our own resources.
"PHACOEMULSIFICATION" with intraocular lens implantation
is done for the poor patients free of cost in our regular operation
theater along with the paying patients.
SUDARSHANAM-GIVING LIGHT TO THE DOWNTRODDEN
"SUDHARSHANAM"
is our endeavour to enhance our community service activities. A one
time payment of Rs. 7,500/- can be made by any individual or organisation
for performance of a cataract surgery on any specified day for an indefinite
number of years. This amount will be deposited in a separate corpus
in a fixed deposit and the interest generated year after year will be
used for doing free surgery on a deserving poor patient. The donor can
also identify a poor patient every year to benefit from this scheme.
Any person with a monthly family income below Rs. 2,000/- can qualify
for free treatment under this scheme. Immediately after the surgery
the donor will be intimated about the name and address of the patient
along with his or her photograph.
Your donation towards this scheme can be sent to our Coimbatore address.,
on receipt of which we will send you an enrollment form.
